Design on the Road: Multi-Family Net-Zero Fieldtrip

Architecture and housing students are working together this semester on a Multi-Family Net-Zero project to learn about the nature and feasibility of affordable zero-energy multi-family homes. Lecturer Dan Handeen (Architecture) and his students in the Multi-Family Net-Zero seminar are developing a schematic design for a net-zero family home in Cottage Grove, MN. Students in a Housing Development and Management Class taught by Associate Professor Marilyn Bruin (Housing) and Professor Becky Yust (Housing) are helping inform the socio-demographic aspects of the project.
