Retail Assistance Program Connects Students with Rural Retailers

This November, Retail Merchandising researchers launched the Joint Retail Assistance Program and invited Amanda Phillips (Retail Merchandising) to act as the lead design student for the first trial run of the program: helping small-business owner Anita Berg create Berg’s Country Barn, a holiday pop-up store.

Retail Connect 2017 Tackles the Risks and Rewards of Entrepreneurship

This Thursday, students and industry professionals will gather for the College of Design’s annual event, Retail Connect. Presented by the College of Design’s Retail Merchandising Program, the Retail Merchandising Design Advisory Board, and the college’s Alumni Relations team, this year’s event will focus specifically on entrepreneurship and the role entrepreneurs play in our global economy.

Meet Our New Faculty Members

The College of Design is pleased to welcome six new faculty members this year. Our additions include David Loranger in retail merchandising, Ehsan Naderi in product design, Genell Ebbini in interior design, Jennifer Newsom-Carruthers in architecture, Jessica Rossi-Mastracci in landscape architecture, and Vahan Misakyan in architecture.
