A Fresh Look for the IEEE Student Room

The University of Minnesota's Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) student group worked with associate professor Abi Asojo's sophomore interior design students in the spring of 2013 to create a more efficient and modern space for the IEEE student room in Keller Hall. The final design was implemented this spring using a concept proposed by Ashley Reichard (pictured left) with some modifications. Dean Tom Fisher is scheduled to be a guest on Minnesota Public Radio’s The Daily Circuit on Wednesday, February 2014 from 10:15-11:00 a.m. TUNE IN: Nicollet Mall Redesign Firm Asking for Public InputHe will be joined by architect James Corner in a conversation about the Nicollet Mall redesign. In September 2013, Corner’s New York firm, James Corner Field Operation, was selected to carry out the $40 million redesign project.
