Monday Minute, March 5, 2012: President Kaler and Challenging the Status Quo

Dear Colleagues, If you haven't yet had the opportunity to watch or read President Kaler's State of the University Address from last week, I encourage you to do so. You can read it in its entirety here. Both the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press editorialized favorably on it over the weekend as well. There are a number of items worth noting; including the three-semester, year round calendar. Monday Minute, October 17, 2011: Advisory Board Recap

Dear Colleagues, Last week our advisory board members from across the country, and around the world, descended on our College for our biannual meeting. The feedback that we received was both reassuring and extremely helpful. They liked our updated mission, and enthusiastically supported our vision and the direction we're headed. They also heard inspiring student stories – including a presentation by M Arch students regarding Haiti – and saw first-hand the state-of-the-art DigiFabLab and upcoming virtual reality installation in Rapson courtyard. Dear Colleagues, Thanks to the faculty and staff who attended Friday's assemblies. I enjoyed having the opportunity to talk more about where our college stands – on everything from our budget to our strategic plans – and where we're headed in the future.
