Three years later, the two reunited to create the Racism Untaught toolkit—a resource to help design educators bring social impact projects and discussions of race, culture, and identity to their classrooms.

The Goldstein Museum of Design At Home

The Goldstein Museum of Design’s (GMD) galleries may be closed to the public, but our graduate students are bringing Minnesota’s design museum to your (virtual) door.

Soo Jin Kang (Graphic Design), Caren Oberg (Apparel Studies), and Carmi Bobwealth Omontese (Retail Merchandising) are working with GMD staff to create and share a weekly series of object-based games, exhibition tours, and museum activities through social media and the GMD website.

Expanding Accessibility with Virtual Reality

Demonstration Garden: Designing Flowers

An interdisciplinary partnership between College of Design faculty, the Goldstein Museum of Design (GMD), and Episcopal Homes, Senior Housing, and Care Services is developing virtual reality (VR) technology to expand access to exhibitions and other public events for low-income elder residents through the creation of a “VR Book Club.”
