Photos + Video from TWELVE | Senior Fashion Show

It happened Saturday night. Eleven senior apparel design students showcased their work on the runway during their 44th annual fashion show. After years of cutting, stitching, piecing, and creating, the soon-to-be graduate designers brought their collections to life. Over a thousand people turned out to see garments ranging from 'fashionably reused' recycled vintage clothing to elegant bridal wear to a line inspired by scuba and aquatic creatures. Dear Colleagues, With RFPs for investments in our vision, visibility and vitality due today, January 31, I thought I'd take the opportunity to once again stress how valuable your ideas in these areas are as we look to the future. Jennifer Gilhoi Joins RSP Architects' Communications Team

Jennifer Gilhoi, one of two new Associates at RSP architects, previously worked for the American Institute of Architects Minnesota. At AIA, Golhoi served as a member and liaison for numerous AIA Minnesota initiatives communicating the value of architecture to the public. She also acted as a liaison to the University of Minnesota College of Design.At RSP Gilhoi will provide direction and support in managing RSP's corporate brand. Working alongside RSP's numerous marketing segments involved with communication, marketing, and business development initiatives. Gilhoi will also work to enhance RSP's involvement and contributions in the community in efforts such as working with the Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership and continuing RSP's work with the University of Minnesota College of Design. College of Design Students Driven To Discover

College of Design students are competing for scholarships with 30-second videos illustrating what they're driven to discover. The competition, open to all undergraduate students and majors, asked participants to explain how the University influenced their search for knowledge and self-discovery. All submitted videos are posted on the University of Minnesota's Facebook page. Voting runs now through January 17th. A total of 16 scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $1,000 will be awarded to the videos with the most "Likes" on Facebook. Thank you for your support! Because of your generosity, we surpassed our $10,000 goal to help extend our initiatives with local Habitat for Humanity projects. Your gifts, in large and small amounts, will provide funding to continue developing projects like our Zero-Energy Home – researched, designed, refined, and developed by two College of Design architecture classes – and Habitat's Restores, which involves our retail merchandising students.
