Dear Colleagues, With spring break behind us, and as we dash toward May, I wanted to take a moment today to just remind everyone of the programs and offerings we have on the agenda in the coming weeks. From our annual Design Intersections event – this years title: Tweak or Leap? – coming up on Thursday, to our award winning Design in 7 program coming the first week of April, to two separate symposiums, Digital Provocations and Fashion & Health – details of those and other offerings, like product design’s PLAYsentations, are available on the events section of our website. Landscape Architecture Professor Rebecca Krinke Presents at AAG

Rebecca Krinke (Landscape Architecture) received an Association of American Geographers (AAG) Enhancement Grant to discuss her recent work in the 'Art and Geography' session 'Mappings I: Haunted Landscapes and Acts of Viewing' during the AAG conference in New York City, February 24-28. AAG is a nonprofit scientific and educational society that contributes to the advancement of geography. Along with teaching for the Department of Landscape Architecture, Krinke is a multimedia artist, who works in sculpture, installations, and site art. In 2011 she helped launch the new Mapping Spectral Traces website, an academic-artist trans-disciplinary collaborative of international scholars, practitioners, community leaders and artists who are working with and in traumatized communities, contested lands and diverse environments. Photos + Video from TWELVE | Senior Fashion Show

It happened Saturday night. Eleven senior apparel design students showcased their work on the runway during their 44th annual fashion show. After years of cutting, stitching, piecing, and creating, the soon-to-be graduate designers brought their collections to life. Over a thousand people turned out to see garments ranging from 'fashionably reused' recycled vintage clothing to elegant bridal wear to a line inspired by scuba and aquatic creatures.
