Susan Sokolowski (Ph.D. DHA '99) Visits Campus with Nike Apparel Innovation Team

On Tuesday, Susan Sokolowski (Ph.D. DHA '99), Senior Innovation Manger on the Apparel Innovation Team at Nike, visited campus with members of her innovation team, Nate Demarest and Daniela Grogro. Sokolowski's work is recognized internationally for her achievements in design and innovation, including the 2012 London Olympics, which will feature the women's track and field team wearing her team's work. Lopez + Hillmann's Work on the Runway: Envison 2012

Apparel design students Sara Lopez and Lizzie Hillmann will have their work featured on the runway during ENVISON: Artopia Spring 2012 on Saturday, April 14 at the Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The event honors the best in local fashion, art, and music, with two runway shows, live painting, dance beats, creative cocktails, and lavish dĂ©cor. Fundraiser Features Medical Scrubs with a Fashion Twist

Eight College of Design apparel students will participate in the second annual fashion runway competition Scrubbed into Fashion to benefit Smile Network International on Saturday, April 14th in the TCF Stadium DQ room.Ellie Hottinger, Issa Mello, Kayla Styczinski, Kayna Hobbs, Lauren Kacher, Maisee Her, Mai Yang, and Reagan Rockers will participate in the Project Runway-style competition showcasing their best looks fashioned from medical scrubs.
