Stephanie Reem (B.S. Interior '97) Named Board President of AAHID

Interior Design ’97), a 14-year veteran in the design industry, has been named the president of the board of regents for the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID). The diverse organization works to raise awareness of healthcare interior design and advocates for creating environments that promote healing and deliver the best health care. AAHID is recognized by the health care industry as the leading certification board in assessing and qualifying health care interior designers.

Reem specializes in both interiors and healthcare interiors, working with the design solutions firm BWBR as a senior interior designer. She has worked on high profile projects including many hospitals and clinics in Minnesota. 

Reem explained, “As health care design professionals, our responsibility is to balance aesthetics with the high demands of the health care environment. The spaces we design must be safe, functional, and healthy all while balancing medical technology and compassionate care.” Reem also serves as a College of Design mentor and is a member of the Design Student and Alumni Board
